In this day and age, cybercriminals are grasping every opportunity to violate users’ privacy and steal personal data, that they can later sell on the black market.
Thanks to this process, businesses can prevent fraud and ensure the safety of their users. The process works by comparing a person’s unique characteristics (e.g. facial biometrics or fingerprints) with verified data held by an officially recognized source, such as a passport or national ID card.
Verification consists of the following:
Questionnaire - Fill out a questionnaire about your financial background.
Phone verification
Identity document - Provide your identity document (Passport, Driver's license, ID card, Residence permit) for visual scanning. Ensure that it is not expired or physically damaged.
Selfie - Go through our liveness-detection check, which simply involves turning your head in front of a camera for a few moments.
Proof of residence - Provide a proof of address (no older than 3 months) for visual scanning. Ensure that your full name and address are listed on the document.
Verifying is easy. Follow the steps below.
Steps:
Login to your MyCointainer account, enter Dashboard.
Go to Settings & Security, click on Verify Account.
Start verification via Sumsub on the current device (or smartphone by scanning the QR code).
If continuing on this device, click Continue On This Device, and check "I agree to our processing of your personal data". Click Next.
Provide the necessary information in the required fields, and click Next to verify your phone number.
Enter your phone number to receive a verification code, which you will receive in a few moments.
Once you confirm your phone number, go to the next page.
To confirm your ID document, select the country that issued your document, then choose your document type.
Lastly, take a photo of your ID document.
This can be done on the current device or on your mobile if you click Continue on your phone. The photo should be bright and clear (good quality), and uncut (all corners of the document should be visible).Once you complete ID verification, proceed to facial scan.
Submit your personal details to confirm geolocation, and click Next.
Review submitted information, and click Next.
We will check your data, and your status will update automatically.
